Code of Conduct for Players & Parents of the Keystone Cobras Youth Soccer Club
The Keystone Cobras Youth Soccer Club (KCYSC) is very proud of our outstanding teams. However, our club, as well as all other clubs in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League (CPYSL), have been given a strong warning about player and coach’s conduct during previous seasons. Due to this warning, our Board has decided to require all players, parents, and coaches to read, sign and follow a zero tolerance Code of Conduct for this season. Our number one goal is to build character and integrity while developing stronger soccer skills. Soccer is a team sport, and our coaches donate their time to building and improving outstanding teams. We ask all parents and players to withhold any questions to the coaches until at least 24 hours after a game. If you have a question about your player, approach your child’s coach with the upmost respect, again they are volunteers and are performing a service that is instrumental to our club’s success.
I pledge to show good character at practice and at games all season long. Good character is what I say or do when I do not think others are looking. I pledge to be responsible for my words and actions while participating or playing soccer and I shall conform my behavior to the following Code of Conduct:
· I will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.
· I will not engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
· I will not engage in the use of profanity, nor engage in verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
· I also agree that if I fail to follow the Code of Conduct while attending or participating in a KCYSC practice or game, I will be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to the following in any order or combination:
o Verbal warning issued by an official, head coach, or head of CPYSL
o Written warning issued by an official, head coach, or head of CPYSL
o Game suspension or immediate ejection from event with written documentation of incident kept on file by KCYSC and CPYSL
o Suspension from multiple events
o Game forfeit determined by official or coach
o Season suspension or multiple season suspension issued by CPYSL

Parents, our Board Members are parents of players on KCYSC and we understand that games can be tough, and officials can be frustrating, but we also expect you and your family/friends that attend the practices and games to show integrity. Please use good judgement, show respect, and please adhere to the same expectations that our players must adhere to as well. Your signature on this form acknowledges that you understand our concern and that you will also conduct yourself appropriately. We also expect that the parent that has signed this form will discuss and share this Code of Conduct expectation with other family/friends that attend KCYSC events.
